Just the Two of Us

Just the Two of Us

After 35+ years of marriage, two wonderful sons, living and working in Australia, Sweden, UK and USA we are now 'just the two of us' plus a very spoilt Shitzu.

Following five years at The Sandhurst Club it is time to downsize. Our criteria - build a new home in a development within ten minutes of John's Sandhurst Golf Club, access to Monash and Eastlink Freeways, all new infrastructure and proposed services, recycled water and no Management Company or Body Corporate Fees.

We invite you to view our journey as we build with Carlisle Homes our 'Savannah 28' at 'The Avenue at Casey', a masterplanned community meeting all our criteria.

  3. Too kind...house far from finished. We are very happy; John was amazed how wonderfully light the house was. Brood should look nice and rich once painted in Gloss Enamel. I'm contemplating same colour for feature wall in Theatre, might be too dramatic/dark? previously had Dulux Arava. God I need someone elses house to stress over! know anyone?? ps - still no pm

  12. OMG - enjoying my morning coffee and you all make me laugh. Two about to start and Janine we need that coffee to dissect your builder...and I'm not 'in' yet - still time to do a Reinsey up and down Faringdon.

  14. Seriously...J... I'm also concerned by your builder. Room 4 a cubby is about to enter their second year of construction!!! You could change to a Carlisle and be in by June THIS year!!!

  15. Deb will email you with my mobile. Yes I am frustrated will call him in the morning. At least he could have replied to my email saying he was on holidays, then I wouldn't be worried. Room for a cubby is building in an established area but I can see he is getting major p....d off now. The trouble is I really love the house and I don't relish reinventing the whole wheel. (I know you did Reinsey!)

  16. Thanks Janine, will call. Communication, or lack of is the biggest frustration with builders. They have many clients but forget you have only one builder. Often lack business ethics and common courtesy.

  17. Is your theatre room going to be used for a projector or plasma? I think that brood would work really well for a feature wall in the theatre room! What colour carpet are you having?

    ReplyDelete
  18. Plasma - jury still out on the projector. Carpet is Antique Stone and theatre seats Plaster. Another feature wall contender is Dulux Aumbry.

  19. Congratulations! The house is almost done! The front door looks unique but it's lovely. The tiler has done a great job with the roof. It's gorgeous.
