Just the Two of Us

Just the Two of Us

After 35+ years of marriage, two wonderful sons, living and working in Australia, Sweden, UK and USA we are now 'just the two of us' plus a very spoilt Shitzu.

Following five years at The Sandhurst Club it is time to downsize. Our criteria - build a new home in a development within ten minutes of John's Sandhurst Golf Club, access to Monash and Eastlink Freeways, all new infrastructure and proposed services, recycled water and no Management Company or Body Corporate Fees.

We invite you to view our journey as we build with Carlisle Homes our 'Savannah 28' at 'The Avenue at Casey', a masterplanned community meeting all our criteria.

Australia Day

Hope everyone is enjoying Australia Day.

Tiler was expected today but he obviously decided to enjoy his Public Holiday.
'Ceiling Batt' men were hard at work before the temperature peaked.....we took the opportunity to sweep the house through (again).

Heating and Aircon

Today the aircondtioning unit along with air and heating vents in ceiling were installed.
Cabinet handles and overhead Perspex doors completed, beautiful sheen.  Caesarstone, glass splashback and appliances will finish the kitchen. Bath, and Caesarstone tops needed in Bathroom and Ensuite in readiness for tiling. Anticipate electrical 'fitoff ' by end of week.

CABINETS AND FIXING

After a two and half day saga on cabinet handles imagine our surprise this evening to find the brickies working late, house open, skirtings, architraves and doors almost completed and our cabinets installed - minus the elusive handles, caesarstone benchtops and overhead perspex doors.

I was beyond excitement even in their skeletal, grimey and dusty glory. Can't wait to see the colours come together all shiney and new.

Both showers had also been waterproofed in preparation for tiling.
