Just the Two of Us

Just the Two of Us

After 35+ years of marriage, two wonderful sons, living and working in Australia, Sweden, UK and USA we are now 'just the two of us' plus a very spoilt Shitzu.

Following five years at The Sandhurst Club it is time to downsize. Our criteria - build a new home in a development within ten minutes of John's Sandhurst Golf Club, access to Monash and Eastlink Freeways, all new infrastructure and proposed services, recycled water and no Management Company or Body Corporate Fees.

We invite you to view our journey as we build with Carlisle Homes our 'Savannah 28' at 'The Avenue at Casey', a masterplanned community meeting all our criteria.

What a surprise - we didn't expect to see any framework this side of Melbourne Cup plus it has not stopped raining!  Two guys hard at work who had been working Saturday as well.  Informed us they will be finished tomorrow night and roof trusses Wednesday. WOW!

Make shift tent to keep tools dry
What are they doing? Best stick to cars

Our slab.....I turned up at 10.30 a.m. to find guys removing formwork and preparing for final trowel.  Their day began at 6.00 a.m. whilst I was still zzzzzzzz.  Back in the evening, perfect.

Men At Work

Boxed, waffle pods and reinforcing ready for slab tomorrow!!

Hard to believe we sold at Sandhurst in May and we'll be in our new home within 12 months......not much time to catch our breath.  We are busy landscaping Luke's front garden - funny the mind tells us we're 25 pity about the body.

More action in readiness for the slab.  Met our lovely neighbour 'Jeane' who's Lot was scraped today. Faringdon Crescent has been a buzz of activity with water meters, pegs and site cuts taking shape.
