Just the Two of Us

Just the Two of Us

After 35+ years of marriage, two wonderful sons, living and working in Australia, Sweden, UK and USA we are now 'just the two of us' plus a very spoilt Shitzu.

Following five years at The Sandhurst Club it is time to downsize. Our criteria - build a new home in a development within ten minutes of John's Sandhurst Golf Club, access to Monash and Eastlink Freeways, all new infrastructure and proposed services, recycled water and no Management Company or Body Corporate Fees.

We invite you to view our journey as we build with Carlisle Homes our 'Savannah 28' at 'The Avenue at Casey', a masterplanned community meeting all our criteria.

Caesarstone

SS called this morning - Caesarstone in kitchen, bathroom and ensuite to be installed today......called by after work to find completed including vanity basins and undermount kitchen sink.
House locked - look forward to access again next week.
Great to see Reinsey and Loz who peaked through the windows with me. Fingers crossed for their slab pour next week followed by a trouble free build and successful house sale.

  1. Congrats!!! :)) Looking forward to pics..by the way..the workers usually keep a set of keys for them to get in the house in your electrical box (I was told this by our neighbour lol) apparently metricon ''hide'' their keys there for their workers..so maybe you should check it..and then you can get in to your house! haha :)

  2. Tonia, I have turned every nook and cranny, metre box, ledge etc... inside out looking for that key. They all seem to have their own set with car keys. Must have got wise to owners.

  3. Wow, I bet you were dying to get in to update the photos for the scrapbook. I can't believe how much access you have had, but then again with the speed its going up, there are bound to be tradespeople there every day!!!

  4. Yep, Could have hitched Reinsey up to remove a roof tile, but she was wearing skirt and heels!! That would have been a good shot..haha. Have been very lucky with access, usually someone working everyday. Meeting electrician Monday morning, Tuesday measuring for shutters and blinds and Tiler begins Wednesday.

  5. That would have been a good look Deb!!!
I had cracked pepper running through my mind last night - your benchtops look AMAZING. In fact, it all does. Looking forward to seeing the finishing touches now.
Thanks for the happy wishes - it's just all frustrating right about now.

  6. Thanks for tick of approval, Cracked Pepper was John's pick. I was a little perplexed what to put with it but seems to have come together very well. Splashback will finish the picture and a discussion with SS required over the corner door handle!
