Just the Two of Us

Just the Two of Us

After 35+ years of marriage, two wonderful sons, living and working in Australia, Sweden, UK and USA we are now 'just the two of us' plus a very spoilt Shitzu.

Following five years at The Sandhurst Club it is time to downsize. Our criteria - build a new home in a development within ten minutes of John's Sandhurst Golf Club, access to Monash and Eastlink Freeways, all new infrastructure and proposed services, recycled water and no Management Company or Body Corporate Fees.

We invite you to view our journey as we build with Carlisle Homes our 'Savannah 28' at 'The Avenue at Casey', a masterplanned community meeting all our criteria.

SS called today - plastering continues with cornices tomorrow.  Bricklayers imminent, due a week ago but weather has delayed them on another site. Bricks and lintels waiting for them.

  1. Hope the lack of brickies on site doesn't stop you being completed by Christmas! (just kidding)
Have I told you how much I love those bricks??

  4. Coz of this drain thingy on our land, Carlisle now have to get a level survey and re-submit our plans for an additional permit.
We did have scrape booked for next Thursday and slab early the following week, but now it's really unlikely that we'll start this year.
    WHAT a freakin d.r.a.m.a.
    But still we :) :) :)

  5. Oh Reinsey, I'm so disappointed for you I know how much you were looking forward to a Xmas toast on the slab. Fingers crossed they sort out the extra permit pronto and roll on 2011 start. Has your CLE improved?

  6. That's a big negativo on the CLE front. Still no PCV or final drawings!
I'm working on the theory that everything happens for a reason. The delay MUST be going to help us out at the other end of the build in some way. Perhaps settlement of our current house.
Never mind... At least we're enjoying watching your build!!!

  8. Hey Janine, drove past afer work....saw the same, perhaps some activity tomorrow. If not, brickie should be full steam ahead Monday. Also, cornices were half done. With your title imminent are you able to finalize soil tests etc. and get moving on final plans?

  9. Yes Deb, The builder has ordered soil tests for next week, then we will have our final pricing including site costs. We then proceed to contracts get final plans and apply for developer approval then we should be ready to start in January!
