I was beyond excitement even in their skeletal, grimey and dusty glory. Can't wait to see the colours come together all shiney and new.
Both showers had also been waterproofed in preparation for tiling.

Our 'BonBon' is a very spoilt 11 year old Princess.
We had a week off after we moved in-and needed it! But there is still so much to do! We still haven't hung any towel rails and only some of the door stops are installed (which I did a great job at!). We still don't have fences, and we've got a few temp blinds up (plus our moving boxes are acting as blinds for the master!). On a more important matter, the Christmas Tree is up :) Photo's will come soon (I promise)! Driveway is also looking good-amazing how much garden has disappeared! Still trying to work on a plan for the landscaping... You must be pleased at the progress so far of your house. Any idea how long the Christmas break is, and when work will recommence on the house? I take it BonBon has got her favourite spot worked out??? ;)
ReplyDeleteShelley, good to read your enjoying Xmas. The house will come together in good time. We expect painting before Xmas break (2-3 weeks). After our walkthru with SS next Tuesday we should have an idea of the new year schedule. Any spot is BonBon's favourite - just one big kennel.

ReplyDeleteHey Janine, I'd say another day. Some window sills and alfresco pier still outstanding. Also, we noticed front porch ceiling is not 2740mm as shown on plan to match inside. Don't know if brickie hasn't gone high enough or carpenter error. We think brickie - shall chase SS in morning. Also, we have one feature light on front pier - bricklayer has not centred the conduit? Expect these rectified whilst brickie still on site. Generally, brickie has done fantastic job and can't wait to see bricks cleaned. How was your visit to your very own land today?
ReplyDeleteGreat Deb we were later than we thought so probably missed you. The road was open down one end but not up our end! But at least we got to park in our driveway for the first time!
