John soldiered on (I'm a really good supervisor) to mortar bricks around the boundary fences (houdini Shitzu) spray paint the timber paling fence plus erect reinforcement wire for the Climbing Roses and Wisteria.
Garden beds dug over adding fresh soil, nutrients and mulch. Also, irrigation and garden light conduit installed.
Back on two feet and happy planting - Pierre Rosnard Roses, Liriopes, Climbing Fig, Silver Birch, Gardenias, Bird of Paradise, Ajuga, Native Violets and Wisteria.
So far.......with lots more to do!
Ouch! Hope you are recovering well? Supervising is a hard job ;)
ReplyDeleteIts looking fab Deb, you must be thrilled with the progress!
Thanks Shayne, Every time we transform a piece of dirt I'm a happy woman!!! But you can relate to that. We only have a tiny backyard but still takes much planning and effort.
DeleteDeb, its looking absolutely brilliant!!! What will you do when its all finished with all your spare time I wonder. Perhaps stop breaking bones and sit back and smell the roses when they bloom. I am extremely envious of your progress, and John has done so well with all that expert coaching by your good self.
ReplyDeleteHo Ho! nothing to do?? I will relish the day I only have to prune the roses. PS they are a stunning colour against the painted fence. Yes, we're pleased with our progress; not breaking any more bones but they ache!!
ReplyDeleteI don't think your too far behind. Look at all your work in two months; excellent progress.
I've always found that supervising is more fun anyway! ;) I love this outdoor space, you've done a beautiful job.
ReplyDeleteThanks Anna,
ReplyDeleteThe whole area gets used; relaxing on a balmy night with the water trickling is heaven. More photos as we proceed to remainder of backyard/BBQ area etc.
